The 2019 Ford Escape changes, specs and price are interesting to view for the upcoming model. As the carryover of the previous one how far the next gent of Escape refresh since its first debut in 2013.
2019 Ford Escape Changes and Engine Specs
The 2019 Escape will maintain differentiation between trim levels that include 17-inch steel wheels and black instead of chrome exterior trim and for the S model. The 2019 SE should return with 17-inch alloys, the SEL and Titanium with 2018 as standard and 2019 optional. SEL and Titanium will also retain LED headlamps and tail lamps. The SE should also again be available with the Sport Appearance Package, a $1,295 option that brings black-themed body trim, 19-inch alloy wheels, and enhanced-support front bucket seats upholstered in white-stitched leather and cloth. The package could be a starting point for a 2019 special edition, although Ford could also ride the wave toward luxury in this segment with a new trim grade upstream of the already cushy Titanium.

We also expect the under hood admits to remain untouched for 2019 Ford Escape. The current base engine is a 2.5 litter 4 cylinder with 168 horsepower and 170-pound feet of torque. One level up from here is the 1.5 litter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 179 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.
Topping the ranges, the 2.0 litter turbocharged four pots with 245 hp. We also expect all three engines to continue to push their power through a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Safety is a bit of a sore spot for the 2018 Escape as its small overlap test only netted an acceptable rating leaving it out of the Top Safety Pick category. It does, however have some advanced safety features like automatic emergency breaking that set an EB is only available as part of the optional safe and smart package on the SE, SEL and Titanium trim levels.
2019 Ford Escape Release Date and Price
The 2019 Ford Escape is scheduled to release on the last quarter of this year. The 2020 Escape is anticipated to be a redesign. The official pricing is predicted not to far from the current models. The MSRP ranges of $24,845 – $34,390 with destination fee is included.
